The Monsters are Due on Maple Street Theme:Man Kind is its own worst enemy
My child is just a little boy, how could he be the alien?!!!
Hey How could YOU possibly know that would happen?!
Trust me I am not the alien.
Steve how come only your lights came on but not ours?!
In "The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street" by Rod Sterling, one of the main theme is that Mankind is its own worst enemy. They all accused each other of being the monster but really it was them all along that's what the monster wanted them to do get them into a disagreement and argue so they can mess with them more. The monster only monster there was them, but the monster was them all along. So the monster was like "hey what if we mess with these people and see what their reaction is if it is that they work together or if they argue about everything." ( but there really was monsters but they thought that they could out smart them ).
Evidence 1 : In this scene... when they all acussed Tommy was the monster.
Evidence 2 : In this scene...when they said Steve was the monster
Evidence 3 : In this scene...they all were blaming each other of who was the alien.
