  • Hey Maxon, can you help me study about the ecology from today's class. All I remember was only ecology is a community of living & non-living
  • Yes Claire. So the ecology interact with abiotic and biotic right, that are describe by niche. There are 4 types of niche.
  • OH! I remember this one! Amensalism, mutualism, commensalism, competition, parasitism, and predation.
  • Fundamental, realized, niche, limiting factors, and carrying capacity. This will lead us to 6 different interactions.
  • Now I'm a bit confused about the competition. I even forgot the name because it was too hard to memorize.
  • AHAHAHAHA, don't worry Claire, I got you. So there are 2 different kinds. Infraspecific and interspecific competition.
  • So interspecific it's for a different species that live in the same resources?
  • Infraspecific it's between the same species.
  • Yeah, you got it now. So we just need to move into the last topic about population.
  • I remember that! I don't really understand what it means but I remember there's s-curve and j-curve. The graph was easy to differentiate too.
  • Actually you can interpret the meaning from the graph. S-curve is shows the effect of a limiting factor. Meanwhile, j-curve occurs when there is no limit to population size
  • I guess today's class wasn't that bad. It was understandable after we discussed the topic.
