Hey Maxon, can you help me study about the ecology from today's class. All I remember was only ecology is a community of living & non-living
Yes Claire. So the ecology interact with abiotic and biotic right, that are describe by niche. There are 4 types of niche.
OH! I remember this one! Amensalism, mutualism, commensalism, competition, parasitism, and predation.
Fundamental, realized, niche, limiting factors, and carrying capacity. This will lead us to 6 different interactions.
Now I'm a bit confused about the competition. I even forgot the name because it was too hard to memorize.
AHAHAHAHA, don't worry Claire, I got you. So there are 2 different kinds. Infraspecific and interspecific competition.
So interspecific it's for a different species that live in the same resources?
Infraspecific it's between the same species.
Yeah, you got it now. So we just need to move into the last topic about population.
I remember that! I don't really understand what it means but I remember there's s-curve and j-curve. The graph was easy to differentiate too.
Actually you can interpret the meaning from the graph. S-curve is shows the effect of a limiting factor. Meanwhile, j-curve occurs when there is no limit to population size
I guess today's class wasn't that bad. It was understandable after we discussed the topic.
