  • When I reached my hotel I stood right in front of it 100ft away, with an angle of elevation of 20 degrees. from this information I decided to find the height of my hotel. I used 100/Tan 20 which left me with 274.8ft which was the height of the hotel.
  • Hi, My name is Jim and this vacation I am going to Islamabad,PakistanREALLY EXITED !!!
  • As we took off, we went higher and higher, And reached an altitude of 3900ft and an angle of elevation 20 degrees. This information helped me find the distance between the ground and the plane I was in.So, I used the formulas i learnt in trigonometry, i used 3900/Tan20, which gave me 10715.2.So now i knew we were 10715.2 ft high in the sky.
  • As we were landing my mom was curious what was the angle needed the plane to land. The Run way was 707 ft longand we were 201ft ft high from the ground. So i used Sin-1(201/707) which gave me 17 degrees.
  • After a bit of rest I went to the Margalla hills in Islamabad where I wanted to find the distance between the two highest mountains with the same height of 100ft but with angles of 31.5 degrees and 20.5 degrees. So i did 100/tan31.5 which was 163 and 100/tan20.5 which was 267 and then subtracted them to get the length which was 104ft
  • Thank you for learning trigonometry with me,and have a nice vacation.
