- The only thing I say about A & P is im glad Cory got that job down there. Help him take care of his school clothes and things.
- Act one Scene two
- Don¨t nobody wanna be locked, up Rose. What you wanna lock him up for.
- Act One Scene four
- Met your mama and had you. What I do that for? Now I got to worry about feeding you and her. Got to steal three times as much.
- Troy is proud of Corey getting a job that's going to help him buy clothes and any thing else. As a father Troy wants Corey to become responsible by working. at a young age.
- Troy is asking Rose why would he let his little brother go to a a nursing home. Troy feels like Garbirel is happy and doesn't want that to change. So as a little brother hes going to make sure that's happens.
- Troy knew he was young when he had Corey but he also knew he had to feed the whole family. Tory couldn't get a job so he robbed people in order to feed him, Corey and his ex wife. Tory as father knew he was putting his life at risk for them in order so they can eat.
