Mier y Teran were seeing people that had no respect for Mexico. They had not followed the Catholic religion as they said they would. This worried him and Mier so they went back to report it.
The Law of April 6th, 1830
The Law of April 6th, 1830 was a law that prevented immigration from the U.S. to Texas. It also had other laws that were unfair to the people. As you can imagine they were really angry.
The Turtle Bayou Resolution was a resolution made by a group of people. In that resolution they said that they wanted changes or a new government They were also not trying to be against them and that they trusted and supported Santa Anna.

In these conventions the people talked about how they were going to stay loyal to Mexico, but they wanted 2 things. To get rid of the Law of April 6th and that Texas should be it's own state.
Stephen sent a letter to Santa Anna, but little did Austin know that it angered him and he ended up in jail. After he got out he became a dictator.
So in conclusion all of these events led to the Texas Revolution.
