- Joseph is Born
- Growing up
- A Colorful Coat
- Joseph was the 11th child born. He was actually Jacob's favorite son because he was Rachel's firstborn, who was Jacob's favorite wife. Even if Joseph was one of the youngest, Jacob planned to make him the heir.
- Taken a Slave
- Because Joseph was Jacob's favorite, his brothers weren't too happy. His father always would put him in charge while they were in the fields. Joseph would always tell his father when they would do wrong.
- Potipher's Slave
- Now that Jacob had two sons given to him by Rachel, which were Benjiamin and Joseph, Rachel had unfortunatly died of childbirth. This is why Jacob favored both of them. One day Jacob gave Joseph a colorful coat. These types of clothes use to be very expensive because of the dye. This made his brothers incredably angry.
- Taken Prisoner
- His brothers were so angry that they threw him into a well, tearing his beautiful coat. They were about to kill him when one of his older brothers, Reuben, had compasion and decided it would be better not to. So they decided to sell him and fake his brother's death. This devastaded their father.
- Joseph was bought by a wealthy man named Potipher. God was with Jospeh and blessed him. He did everything correctly so, as the years went by, Joseph had power over everything in Potipher's house. this intrested Potipher's wife. She ended up falling in love with Joseph.
- Potipher's wife decided she wanted Joseph to sleep with her. But Joseph was loyal to his master and said no, Potipher's wife kept pushing it, so Joseph ran away. She had taken his outer robe, so she chose to use the robe to her advantage and blamed Joseph.
