- I will be explaining the Structures and Functions of Biological Molecules. So there are 4 classes of biological molecules The Carbohydrates, lipids, proteins and nucleic acids. But before that remember this. All living things are made up of four classes of large biological molecules and molecular structure and function are inseparable. So here it is the function of this four molecules first is the Carbohydrates it gives energy, support and recognition. Proteins are enzymes, structure, recognition, transport pigments and signals. While the lipids are cell membrane structure energy storage, signals cellular metabolism. And lasty the nucleic acid are the hereditary and protein information, energy and signals.
