- I am General Zaroff.
- I'm Sanger Rainsford of New York.
- Rising Action
- Rainsford had fallen over board due to hearing a gun shot. He decides to look over board to find out where the gun shots were coming from, then swimming to the island
- Climax
- Rainsford meets General Zaroff with him drawing his gun. Rainsford decides to introduce himself to avoid getting shot. After not shooting Rainsford they go inside to talk.
- Falling Action
- Rainsford and General Zaroff decide to have a drink while they chat. General Zaroff ask if Rainsford wants to see the school. Rainsford says yes and makes their way back outside.
- Resolution
- I swam.
- Rainsford notices hounds chasing after him. After taking the knife he runs getting chased by hounds.
- Rainsford realizes that he can't out run the hounds. So he decides to jump into the water. Then swim back to shore later.
- General Zaroff decides to get read for bed. As he tries to close the curtain, Rainsford is standing there and scared him. General Zaroff asked Rainsford how he escape. After Rainsford tells him how he swam away they decided to fight.
