- Photosynthesis - A chemical reaction in chloroplasts that converts light energy into foodCellular Respiration - The process of converting chemical energy into usable energy (ATP)Fermentation - converts sugar into energy
- Very good John. For anyone who doesn't know, I have just written the definitions on the board
- Photosynthesis uses light, water and Carbon Dioxide to make glucose (sugar) and oxygen. On the other hand, cellular respiration uses glucose and oxygen to make carbon dioxide, water and ATP (Energy)
- That makes sense, but whats the difference between photosynthesis and cellular respiration

- But whats Cell Transport?
- There are two types of cell transport. Active and passiveBoth types are used to transport molecules across the cell membrane. Active uses ATP (made by the mitochondria) while passive doesnt need any energy

- That's so cool, but i remember my older brother talking about pumps and diffusion and stuff like that. Can you explain those?
- The three types of active transport are Pump, Endocytosis, and Exocytosis. The three types of Passive transport are Diffusion, Osmosis, and facilitated diffusion.
