Selene and Roman were notorious and wanted by the town for committing many crimes. Because of them, Vera began to be looked down upon.
Selene was known for her looks and ill mannered attitude, while Roman was known for his wealth and acts of fraud/felony.
COME BACK HERE!
In a prestigious town named Vera, many citizens lived together in absolute peace and courtesy. All except two. Selene and Roman.
Themis, the goddess of pain, met with Arie, the god of punishment, in his realm to speak about Selene and Roman. Themis proposed to curse Themis and Roman to make up for their crimes which damaged Vera's reputation.
We must make Selene and Roman feel pain for their sins in order to receive justice for Vera.
Alright... perhaps you could curse a loved one of theirs? Return by morning.
Themis then entered Selene and Roman's home, preparing to curse their baby who had been born recently with an illness. However, Themis began to feel a sharp pain, summoning several curses at once. She abandoned the baby in realization that her mission was somewhat complete.
CURSE!
OUR BABY! What is that?!?! POISON?
In the end, Selene and Roman were truly devastated. Not only did their baby pass away, but the entire town was completely destroyed as well. Several types of poisonous liquid acid from the baby’s corpse had leaked through the neighborhood, flooding the town and destroying settlements. Both of the parents were rightfully charged for the problems they caused and received a life sentence. They had allowed their baby to suffer and die just because of their actions and mistakes. Although they wouldn’t be getting out of prison soon, they knew that if they were ever going to get a second chance at life, they would be better people and learn from their mistakes. Arie, the god of punishment, watched over their improvement and saw how they grew from their former mistakes. Everything was for the better.
