  • Most important theme
  • I think the most important theme in the novel is Fear in courage for multiple reasons . The first reason is because fear and courage is seen throughout all of the battles in one way or another. The second reason is because it helps Henry get through the battles. The third reason is because it can teach everyone that your fear isn't always a bad thing and that good things can come out of it.

  • This is a good battle for Henry because he didn't run away, and he got to express his leadership skills and show his courage. He takes charge and drives the men forward into battle. He wonders what will confront him later but doesn't panic
  • Henry didn’t run away, Henry carries the flag and not a gun but with the symbol (the flag), they win when Wilson captures the enemy's flag.
