- Muhammad was born in 571 C.E in the town of Mecca. His mother sent him to live with a nomadic tribe in the desert.
- In 610 C.E, Muhammad went to pray in a cave in the mountains. While there, he was visited by the angel Gabriel who declared him to be Gods prophet.
- Around 613 C.E Muhammad started to preach to other Makkans. Which some converted to become Muslim. Most Makkans rejected him, though, and even called him a liar, tortured his followers and even started a boycott which resulted in his family dying.
- In 619 C.E a winged horse took Muhammad to Jerusalem, the city where the Muslim directed there prayers. While there, he met and prayed with earlier prophets. The horse guided him through the seven levels of heaven where he met God.
- In 622 C.E Muhammad and his followers left Makkah on a journey named Hijrah to Madinah. Muhammad developed a Muslim community there. In 624, fighting broke out between the Muslims and the Makkans. They eventually made a truce.
- In March 632, Muhammad led his final pilgrimage. In makkah, he delivered his last sermon, shortly after he returned to Madinah, Muhammad died.
