- The cause of the War of 1812 was due to Great Britain Impressing Americas sailors and executing them. Britain also shot up Frigate Chasepeask and killing the sailors aboard.
- Sea Battles
- With America making a huge purchase to buy a huge chunk of the U.S. and claiming it as their own. The Native Americans were not happy when being pushed off their land. Chief Tecumseh and his brother got tribes together to fight back against the Americans
- The Battle of New Orleans
- The battle of the lands take place in 1813 were Oliver Hazard Perry captured six fleet of British ships in Lake Erie. This victory led William Henry Harrison into Upper Canada were British soldiers got defeated again. But near the end of 1813 British soldiers drove Americans out of Canada.
- The Results of the War
- 1814 in Europe, Napoleon had been defeated leading Britain to send thousands of troops over the Atlantic and America got driven out of Canada Britain made two attacks, but the second attack was in Maryland, September 13. The British bombarded Fort McHenry who guarded the city's harbor.
- After the fight in Lake Champlain, New York. Britain was defeated miserably. With that Britain decided to invade New Orleans. General Andrew Jackson protected new Orleans and a army of African Americans, Native Americans, and militia. January 8, 1815, 7,500 British troops marched in but were met with a deadly fire by Jackson.
- Neither America or Britain won. The impressments and ship searching from Britain stopped in a matter of time and Europe had peace. But the war weakened the Native Americans. Over the next 20 years, America would drive the Native Americas out of Ohio.
