- I am here to fight for the second amendment, just because I live in Chicago should not deprive me of my rights.
- As a representative of Chicago we the state should have the right to decide on firearm rights due to local conditions .
- The Supreme Court granted certiorarito the plaintiffs in McDonald on Sept. 30, 2009, and oral arguments were heard on March 2, 2010. The descending opinion was that they thought it was unsafe.

- The court has heard both sides and the opinion of the court has ruled with Mcdonald. The concurring opinion is to protect the second and fourteenth ammenment
