- Ashley just graduated from university with her Masters of Political Science! She will continue to work for the next few years for the current MP of Manitoba. She has a goal of becoming Prime Minister of Canada. She currently holds her achieved status as a university graduate.
- Scene 1: Beginning
- I can't wait!
- Scene 2: Becoming MP
- Ashley worked extremely hard for the MP and managed to make a name for herself. In the next election, She got voted in as the new MP of Manitoba! This is another achieved status she holds! This achievement also became her Master Status. Her title as MP of Manitoba became her master status. Master Status is what someone is commonly known for.
- The hard work pays off!
- Scene 3: Changes
- Everything starts to change when Ashley meets a nice young man named Dave. They fall madly in love and get married! Ashley doesn't mean to but she takes the focus off her job which leads to a Role Conflict...
- I Do!
- Scene 4: Role Conflict
- Everything changed for Ashley when she found out she was pregnant! She now had to choose between her job and her growing success or to devote the time needed towards a new baby. This creates a Role Conflict she has to choose between her status as a new mother or her Master Status as MP! Both these statuses have very different role demands creating a conflict.

- Scene 5: Role-Playing
- Ashley decided to leave politics behind her. She and Dave had a sweet little girl named Ellie. Once Ashley decided to become a mother she engaged in Role-Playing. She took on the role of a stay-at-home mom. She stayed home and took care of Ellie. As much as Ashley loved her job and what she created she loved her family more and didn't wanna miss the golden years with her daughter.

- In the end, Ashley had many achievements in her life. She took on different roles and statuses. She also had to deal with the conflict competing roles create. She learned about her life from a sociological perspective
