- Will you calm down? Its not even THAT strong
- AGHHH!!EARTHQUAKE!
- HOW?? I DONT EVEN KNOW HOW EARTHQUAKES OCCUR
- Movements of tectonic plates causes collision. As these plates collide, some parts of it gets stuck while the rest of it keeps going.
- Now, lets start with the basics. The outermost layer of Earth's lithosphere is composed of tectonic plates. In essence, each continent may be situated on one or two plates.
- These plates movegradually because of the movement under the surface. The plate's edges arecalled plate boundaries.
- Afterwards, faults appear. Faults are fractures where the crust has moved. Earthquakes happen as a result of this event.
- So, Earthquakes are the sudden shaking of Earth's crust caused by released energy? And, what are the effects?
