- We still have two more people in the backseat.
- Ponyboy was walking home from the movies. When the Socs decided to jump him. They were threatening to "give him a haircut." Then, he got saved by the rest of the gang.
- The Socs jump Johnny. They jumped him before the book even started. But he had flashback about it in chapter 2. One of the Socs had rings on his hand that ended up cutting Johnny.
- When the Greasers were at the movies they met Cherry and Marcia. They are Socs but they don't hate the Greasers like other Socs. Then the people who beat up Johnny show up. The Greasers and the 4 Socs almost got into a fight. The Greasers pulled out a switchblade and a broken bottle. They almost got into nasty fight.
