  • The Alamo
  • The Alamo was built in 1718 and In 1835 the general of the Mexican soldiers surrendered the mission to the Texan Army.
  • On January 26, 1905, Governor S.W.T Lanham signed legislation for state funding to preserve the Alamo property.
  • "We are here to help and train people to be better."
  • Top 3 Industries: Petroleum Industry, Pipeline Transportation, and the Public Utility. 
  • Space Center Houston
  • "We are also here to make people more prepared so like if the person has to go NASA or in space they will already know what to do."
  • American Black Bear, Black-tailed jackrabbit, and Big brown bat.
  • Big Bend National Park
  •  It is in southwest Texas and includes the entire Chisos mountain range and a large swath of the Chihuahuan Desert.
  • It is considered one of the best places to stargaze. Animals found within Big Bend National Park are Mexican black bears, roadrunners, coyotes, and black-tailed jackrabbits
  • It is originally known as Mision San Antonio de Valero. It later became the site of the Battle of the Alamo. The Alamo Committee placed a bronze marker in the Alamo to show respect for Adina De Zavala and Clara Driscoll.
  • It is a leading science and space learning center, the official visitor of NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston. It is now a Smithsonian Affiliate Museum. It has also been a starting point in astronaut training.
  • The Rio Grande River runs through the Big Bend National Park. It is considered the largest Chihuahuan Desert protected region. The Big Bend National Park is named after the rivers Big Bend in west Texas.
