- Suzy is punching Jin above, after he kissed her without permission. Jin is betraying his friend Wei Chen by kissing his girlfriend. The message here is betrayal is one of the key things not to do in a friendship.

- Steve is comforting Danny that everything is gonna be okay, even though Chin Kee "ruined" his life. The message here is to have a good friend, you have to be a good friend.
- Although Steve is being nice and offering Danny a coke, Danny dislikes his comment, as he remembers Chin Kee's joke about peeing in Steve's coke.The message here is to have a good friend, you have to be a good friend.
- The monkeys were required to wear shoes because of the Monkey King's decree. Many monkeys got injured or died as a result.The message here is although violence may feel good in the beginning, guilt and burden can build upon one's feelings.
