- Exposition
- Squeaky is a young girl committed to her running and lives in New York City. She has to take care of her older brother Raymond, who has a disability.
- I have to be the best at running and take care of you too!
- Rising Action
- She wont win
- Squeaky trains hard for the race and come across Gretchen and her friend Rosie and they begin to argue.
- I don't think you are going to win this time
- I always win cause Im the best
- Climax
- The race starts and the two girls are competing against each other.
- Falling Action
- Squeaky sees her brother run along the race on the outside of the fence and realizes that he also had the ability to run, she also admires Gretchen's ability to run and wants to work together with Gretchen to coach Raymond and improve his abilities.
- Resolution
- Squeaky becomes more accepting of others, which demonstrates her becoming more mature.
- Lesson Learned
- You cannot compare others to yourself, everyone is different and is just trying their best.
