Equality has been assigned the task of a street sweeper. He believes that this is punishment for his actions towards his brothers. He is thrilled and grateful for the council of vocations.
CHAPTER 1
"street sweeper".
Equality discovers the city's underground tunnel. He investigates it to some extent before making a worldwide promise that he will not tell on Equality. He swears to do so and states that he would rather die.
"... May the council have mercy upon us! -- we wish to speak for once to no ears but our own" (pg. 2)
CHAPTER 1
After a few eventful days, Equality meets the most gorgeous female on the planet. Liberty is her given name. When he refers to her as the Golden One, Equality displays his admiration for her obvious beauty. All through the chapter, he refers to her as this and repeatedly admires her.

CHAPTER 2
Equality
Equality talks with Liberty. They talk about the titles they've given to others and how they know what they're doing is wrong. They like one other and discuss how they regard each other as more of an individual than anybody else.
"what is your name?"
CHAPTER 2
"You are not one of our brothers"
After shocking a frog with a copper wire and zinc, Equality finds electricity. He is intrigued by this new power and is aware that his other brothers are unaware of it. He considers it a shame to know more than his brothers, yet he is unconcerned.
CHAPTER 3
Equality drinks water from Liberty's hand, and they find themselves warmly caressing for a bit longer than necessary. They might be having a personal moment when they both realize Equality is no longer sipping the water.
