- The Louisiana purchase was worth 15 million dollars. After the purchase, Spain and the US going into an agreement on the border of texas and louisiana.
- filibusters in texas
- The Mexican citizens were being controlled by Spain and treated unfairly. After a while, they got tired of being treated like slaves so they needed to fight for their independenc.
- Battle of Mendina
- father Miguel Hidalgo was a priest in Dolores and on 16,1810 he did the Grito de Dolores and helped the lower class get their freedom while doing it they killed some of the higher classes to head north.
- the constitution of 1824
- Philip Nolan was in texas and capturing wild mustangs (horses) and selling them to make money but he would say that the Spanish government would let him do that knowing that it was illegal so the Spanish government thought that he was a spy so they killed him
- the republican army was starting a war with the Spanish army for the declaration of independence for texas but the Spanish army wins after a bit of losses.
- in 1824 Mexico and texas gained independence by fighting against Spain but there were people trying to take power and be king but people were not agreeing so they had to spread the power so that it would be fair
