Pyramus and Thisbes

- Pyramus and Thisbe were neighbours and they fell in love, though their parents disapproved of the match.
- There was a wall in dividing their yards, but through a crack they would whisper to one another
- Meet you at the Mulberry tree
- *whisper whisper*
- We're running away tonight
- *whisper whisper*
- One day they got sick of it and decided to leave later that night
- *AHHHHHHHHHH*
- While Thisbes was waiting she saw a lion. Scared, she went to hide in a cave until it left, though she dropped her veil, which the lion began to play with
- Pyramus, seeing the liion tracks and bloody veil, assumed that Thisbes had been eaten, so weeping, he took his own life, staining the white berries on the Mulberry Tree
- When Thisbe came back to the Mulberry Tree, at first she thought she was at the place because the berries were dark. When she saw Pyramus, she realized what had happened, and not wanting to live without him prayed they'd be buried together and the Mulberry tree would hold red berries from no on to represent their love, she took her life.
- Their grief-stricken parents obeyed Thisbes' last wish, putting their ashes together in the same urn, and, by order of the gods, the mulberry tree only boar fruit of a deep purple.
