- Ming emperors decided to isolate China to protect China.
- The Ming dynasty started by Zhu Yuanzhang when he overthrew the Yuan dynasty. The Ming dynasty ended up becoming one of the most stable dynasties.

- Zheng He was a explorer who went on seven great trips/voyages.
- Chinese did service exams based on law, math, culture, and language to show how much they know and how good of a job they can get. A flaw with the exams are the wealthy could bribe test examiners for a better job.

- The Ming dynasty added a lot of length to The Great Wall of China.
- Ming emperors decided to isolate all of China to protect it from the europeans. It was to maintain China and so the Mongols couldn't threaten them.
- Zheng He lead seven great voyages to the South China Sea, Indian Ocean, Arabian Sea, Red Sea, and the eastern coast of Africa. His voyages lasted from 1405 to 1433.
- The Ming dynasty added over five thousand miles to the Great Wall of China in the span of 276 years.
