The cro-magnons were considered modern human beings.

The Neolithic age was the final stage of the cultural evolution that ended.
In the Paleolithic age they didn't know how to grow crops, so they just picked their crops from the forest.
Farmers and herders
When the Neolithic age started people that's when people started to grow crops and herd animals.
There hasn't been any discoveries on prehistoric villages from the Paleolithic age ,but they were likely to be in places with good soil and somewhere that had good cover, like trees from any predators.
The earliest known villages from the Neolithic age were found in southeast Asia. It dates back to 8000 B.C.
