  • Hello, My name is Kary Mullis today I will be telling you a little about me and what my profession is. Lets go back in time to the very beginning...
  • We traveled back to 1944 December 28 in Lenoir, North Carolina. This is the day I was born. That's me in the doctors hands. Just a few years later my love for science started up and made me into the man I am today. Lets go back to my one of my first successes

  • In my past I got my a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1966. I then went on and got my PH.D degree in biochemistry from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1972 and lectured in biochemistry there until 1973. Now lets go to 1983 California were my career in science truly blew up.
  • WO HOO!! I GRADUATED 
  • Wait, I Figured it out!
  • I Was driving in California and I was thinking of my DNA work and I came up with a way to pinpoint particular stretch of DNA and synthesize an enormous amount of copies. This was named the PCR Test and it was a very successful find for the scientific world.
  •  I received a Nobel Prize in chemistry in 1993 for my invention of the polymerase chain reaction (PCR). My method was so called one of the most monumental scientific techniques of the twentieth century.
