  • Military Leadership
  • Forward...MARCH!!!
  • French Alliance
  • Thanks buddy!
  • Passionate
  • FREEDOM!!!!!
  • The Continental Army had many great military leaders such as George Washington and Marquis de Lafayette. They commanded their troops and made many great decisions to eventually defeat the British Army and win the war.
  • Unorganized Military
  • LOL
  • Whoops, AHHHH!!!
  • The French Alliance between the colonies and France helped both sides dramatically during the war. The colonies would receive military aid and supplies while the French would see their common enemy (Britain) being defeated.
  • Outnumbered
  • Uh oh...
  • The colonists had a major advantage because they were fighting in a cause that they were actually passionate for. The British soldiers' care for the war didn't come close to the colonists care for the war.
  • Supply Shortage
  • So...hungry...
  • The Continental Army was no way near the same level as the British army. Britain had the best army in world at the time, and the colonists just made one. This meant is was very unorganized and untrained compared to the British.
  • The British vastly outnumbered the Continental Army by tens of thousands of men. There were way more British troops than Continental troops at one time.
  • The Continental army always suffered shortage of food, ammunition, and weapons. They had to use these scarcely which put them in a huge disadvantage against the British army, who did't go through these things.
