- Zeus and Demeter had a daughter named Kore (Persephone).
- Persephone became the queen of the underworld through her abduction by Hades the god of the underworld.
- .
- During spring and summer Persephone was by Demeter's side and the harvest was allowed to thrive. Persephone's hair also turned blonde and her eyes were blue when she is not in the underworld.
- During autumn and winter Persephone was with Hades, which would cause Demeter to become very depressed. Every time Persephone would be in the underworld her eyes and hair would go back to black.
- Persephone becoming the queen of the underworld made Demeter make the crops wither and the earth barren.
- Persephone was impaled and had her last words before dying and her body then exploded.
