  • On cleaning duty.
  • Mr Sneewe gave me a written warning. I do not know what too do with my home situation. The public taxi's are working against my schedule so I will probably be late tomorrow again.
  • The company once had transport for employees who did not have cars of their own. I wondered what happened to it. Maybe you should inform management about your current situation

  • You know that after your written warning things can get messy for you, right? You might lose your job.
  • What am I suppose to do? Leave my grandma and let her suffer on her own because I cannot afford someone to look after her?
  • Now I must go get my child and go make sure my grandma managed today but I will have to wait an hour for the taxi to come and go that side of town
  • On their way home
  • I will take you home. You need to rest. I will get you tomorrow morning so you can be on time.
  • Lu says that the company had transport available for employees like Lee previously. He also makes the suggestion that she should talk to management. Maybe they can help her get to work earlier and with less trouble.

  • Ms Williams, the late-comer has been late this past 3 days. I am going to schedule a disciplinary meeting so that we can discuss the way forward. Please prepare yourself for this. Her register is on my desk. You will see what time she gets here.

  • Before you overthink, I just want to let you know that I am on your side. I am the representative of Cleaning Services Trade Union and most of the cleaners at this company are associated with this union. It is my job to represent the employees of this company on behalf of the union.
  • Mr Sneewe is asking Ms Williams to monitor Ms Pietersens's conduct at work because she will have to represent Ms Pietersen in the disciplinary hearing that he knows will happen soon because of Ms Pietersens continuous offence.

  • The shop steward is reaching out to the employee who the manager told her about. Ms Williams, will investigate this matter so that she can represent the employee when she will be confronted by Management.

  • Lee is new to ABC Company and Ms Williams is introducing herself to Lee. She states clearly that her role as shop steward is including being on the side of the employee and not on the employer. She also acknowledges the fact that she is responsible to act on behalf of the union when an employee during grievance and disciplinary meetings.
