- THE LEGEND OF PINEAPPLE
- Once upon a time, Aling Rosa and her daughter Pina lived in a small hut village. They were very poor that is why Aling Rosa work hard day and night.
- Pina is a lazy girl. She just wanted to play all the time. She does not like helping her mother at home.
- Inay, I am still playing.
- Pina! Help me with the chores!
- One day, Alung Rosa got sick She called out Pina to cook some food for her. However Pina cannot find the things she needs
- Pina. Can you cook food for me? I am sick.
- Inay, you expect me to cook? I don't even know where the rice is
- just hand me a glass of water please.
- I wish you would grow a thousand eyes ! Then you can find what you're looking for. And maybe then you won't have many excuses!
- Pina's mom felt sad and asked Pina for a glass of water instead
- Nay, I cannot find where the glasses are.
- The next day, Aling Rosa could not find Pina. She feared that her daughter might never come back. Then, she noticed a strange plant growing in the garden. She realized that her anger cursed her daughter. Pina had turned into a plant with many eyes. Aling Rosa took care of the plant, and named it Pinya in honor of the memory of her daughter
