- Scene starts - Actor is just waking up and gets out of bed. The blinds are closed so we cannot see outside the window. There is audio about the bad weather and aftermath of the cyclone in Mumbai playing in the background and some images of it flash by
- Close-Up

- The Blinds are opened by the boy and it is bright and sunny. The words Oakland, California flash onscreen.
- Multiple Shots
- He goes over to a desk, and after thinking for a moment gets a pen and begins to write. Different scenes flash of him in different positions while writing or thinking
- Multiple Shots - Full Shot, Medium-Long, Close-Up
- We finally get to see the notebook to discover that it is a To-Do list. There are many things on there, with wake up being the first and exercise being the last.
- There are multiple shots of the character completing various activities throughout the day, but always inside the house. We also see ticks forming next to each activity on the list. Finally there is a shot of him in his bedroom at night, where he looks sadly out the window before going to bed.
- The next morning he once again wakes up and opens the blinds before walking over to the desk where the list is. He stares at it for a moment, before tearing off the bottom activity. We see a shot of the list, now with a scrap of paper next to it reading exercise, before it is crumpled up.
