Women are now allowed to vote and go anywhere in there own homes and are not always permitted to stay in specific places in public.
The only people who were allowed to vote were the men but, not only were they the only ones who voted but they got to participate in all the activities except for the plays.
All of the men met in the Agora and talked about changes that needed to be made in that democracy like voting for a leader and voting for representative like, Solom who was their leader until he died.
The problem was that not all people were citizens back then, only the men were allowed to sit in on the meetings and to vote/elect.
Back then prisoners were allowed to go to the plays so to me that a flexible democracy. Now it is much more strict.
People were not always considered citizens but now if you are of age and are a citizen in that country you are allowed to vote and do any other activities.
