a pathogen is: a bacterium, virus, or other microorganism that can cause disease.
defintion of pathogen:a pathogen is an infectious agent that causes illness or diseases to the host.
pathogens enter the body though the air or though touching surfaces
once in the body pathogens can multiply rapidly. for example when a virus gets into your body it goes into the blood stream attacking the blood cells

it attaches itself to the cell though proteins and embeds itself in the cell to hide from the immune system
it then multiples inside the cell until the cell bursts and thousands of virus cells are released
they then attach onto the infection and destroy it
