- I want to go into my closet to get a coat, but there's a door in the way!
- Doorknobs are simple machines known as levers. Levers consist of 2 parts, a rigid bar and a fulcrum allowing me to turn the doorknob. and open the door.
- Now we have to go!
- Good thing I got my jacket, it's raining pretty hard.
- My bike is in this garage I just have to find a way to open it.
- That was pretty easy! Garage doors can also be called pulleys. They are wheels with a grooved rim where a cord passes that can help me lift up the door.
- Yay, now I can go on my ride!
- My bike moves all because of the wheels, they are a simple machine called a wheel and axle. A wheel and axle consists of two circular objects of different sizes. The axle is a rod that goes through the wheel which allows the wheels to turn.
- This was a fun day, but I better get home before it gets too dark!
