- She leaves the school and begins to drive home through the thick and poisonous smog with her parents and she brings up the topic of going to the Natural Park.
- Falling Action
- The parents half-promised her, but sooner or later they had agreed and went. They had landed and see was dumbfounded. Her dad was talking to the park ranger. She had saw him being distracted and ran into the woods.Running away from her father.
- Conflict
- When she ran through the forest and saw a flamingo. The thing she had day dreamed about ever since that old book with a picture of one. She had ran over and touched it. It fell over. It was fake. She now knew that all of the flamingos had went extinct.
- Resolution
- The park ranger had told the father and his daughter the story of what precedent made the flamingos extinct.
- Melanie had thought to herself;man society has really screwed up the life of many mostly the life of animals. That's crazy!
- Melanie matures and accepts the malicious reality of what the world really is.
