“I’ll work for you seven years in return for your younger daughter Rachel.”
“It’s better that I give her to you than to some other man. Stay here with me.”
Jacob was in love with Rachel, but for Rachel to be his he needed her fathers permission.
Here is "Rachel"
Jacob went to Laban, Rachel's father, and offred 7 years of labor in return for the hand of Rachel. Laban agreed saying Jacob was the best bet for Rachel.
"It is not a costom here to give the younger daughter in marriage before the older one. Finish the bridal week then we will also give you the younger one. in return for another 7 days of work."
“What is this you have done to me? I served you for Rachel, didn’t I? Why have you deceived me?”
And so Jacob worked 7 years for Laban all for his strong love toward Rachel.
After the 7 years Laban had a huge feast and made Jacob drink in celebration. Once Jacob lost common sense Laban gave him Leah instead of Rachel knowing he would not know the difference.
The next morning Jacob woke up and found Leah in the place of Rachel. He then went to Laban and convinced him to give him Rachel. Laban agreed if he did one more week of work. Jacob agreed due to the amount of Love toward Rachel.
In the end Jacob and Rachel ended up together and Jacob did 7 more years of work.
