Storyboard Text

  • please sir i need to know how computers encode text
  • Come with me and you will understand all
  • 1.Your computer translates the numeric values into visible characters. It does this is by using an encoding standard. An encoding standard is a numbering scheme that assigns each text character in a character set to a numeric value. A character set can include alphabetical characters, numbers, and other symbols.
  • time to learnlook at the screen
  • 2. Data in computers is stored and transmittedas a series of ones and zeros (also known as Binary). To store an image on acomputer, the image is broken down into tiny elements called pixels. Apixel (short for picture element) represents one colour. The image is made upby many pixels depending on the size and density of the screen and each pixelin stored in the computer with its numerical value.
  • O,M,G
  • 3. Sounds created on a computer existsdigital information encoded as audio files. Digital sound is broken downinto thousands of samples per second. Each sound sample is stored as binarydata.
  • HOME!!!
  • WHERE ARE YOU GOING!!!
  • 4. It became apparent that a new characterencoding scheme was needed, which is when the Unicode standard was created. Theobjective of Unicode isto unify all the different encoding schemes sothat the confusion between computers can be limited as much as possible.
  • I WANNA GO HOME!!!
  • 5. Digital devices represent numeric datausing the binary number system, also called base 2. The binary number systemonly has two digits: 0 and 1. No numeral like 2 exists in the system, so thenumber “two” is represented in binary as 10 (pronounced “one zero”).
  • Thanks for listening we hope to see you next time.
