- Hey there! I know. I'm pretty small. But you have no idea; I'm actually one of the tiny little molecules inside this thing. It's so squished in here! All of the molecules in here are so tight together! That's what makes us a solid, an ice cube.
- Yoohoo! Still here! Man. It's a lot easier to breath here in the water, because us molecules aren't so squished together anymore. The ice cube melted because of the heat of the light we were under in the restaurant. So, now we are a liquid: water. This volume of water, which is constantly in movement, is MUCH larger in volume compared to that of the old ice cube.
- Can you still see me? Now I'm part of a cloud. The water in the lake evaporated into gas which I am now in. And let me tell you - it's SOOO nice in here! I have all the room I want. So do all of my molecule friends.
- Ugh. Great. I'm back here. The gas in the cloud underwent a process known as condensation, which brought us molecules together again, and this physical change turned us back into water. I don't feel comfortable at all! Hasn't anyone ever heard of personal space?
- NOOOO! I'm back to square one!!! I'M SO SQUISHED! HHAAWWW... I can't breath! Great. Just perfect. The water froze and I'm an ice cube again. I wonder why I always change shape, anyway.
