I've spent my my childhood touring, I'm something of a prodigy...
Oh Mozart, nice to meet you. I was a freelance musician, how did you make a living??
Well, Haydn you were luckier than me. Originally I was a free agent until I made enough selling my music to publishers. I did get to be more cultured with my composing from touring.
I guess you're right, I lived at Court Esterhazy and had my music performed privately for years. It did wonders for my music surprisingly.
I got a lot of practice seeing my operas orchestras. I like to think it made me more versatile... not to brag but I think it made composers after me more individualistic.
Yeah, I see that. Must be time for me to brag, my operas had a variety of colors and highlighted my characters emotions during action and comedy scenes. I'll tell you about my orchestras too.
Iadvanced the technical sophistication and emotional reach of orchestra forms. I also developed and popularized the classical piano concerto.
Now that you mention it,I introduced clarinets as part of the woodwind section, trumpets being used independently instead of doubling, cellos becoming separated from the double bases, and woodwind instruments were given the melodic line.
So what genre do you tend to compose in???
Hmmm...
Well, I do good with Classical... what about you??
