- Born to a patrician family but not super wealthy Julius Caesar wanted it all.
- Starting super young he raised a private army and fought an attacking army at age 26
- Triumvirate splits after Crassus dies :(
- Forming an alliance between him, Pompey, and Crassus (The 1st Triumvirate) as an attempt to bypass checks/balances
- Caesar made his move into politics he was elected into small office at age 32 but became governor of Spain at age 39
- Making his move to total power the Roman government tells Caesar not to march his army through Rome but he does anyways.
- Caesar chases his enemy Pompey into Egypt and aligns with Cleopatra the Pharoh.
- He comes back to Rome demanding to be made dictator for lifeAge 51
- The people LOVED Caesar because he gave citizenship to many people, he created many jobs and eliminated lots of welfare, and even rewrote the calendar based on solar calendar.
- He improved the harbors for trade and also increased the government involvement in public education.
- Caesar takes over government but allows senate to continue but fills it with his supporters
- However everything was not perfect within the senate. They blamed him for ruining their republic.
- On March 15, 44 BCE Julius Caesar was murdered by political officials for ruining their republic.
