- The Washingtonians believed that the Idahoans would try to take over the potato industry with there potatoes grown in awful, terrible conditions, barely consumable by humans. The Washingtonians wanted to stop the spread of Idaho potatoes and wanted other states to try their potatoes instead. The Idaho potatoes and farmers must always stay on the right side of the road.
- Brinksmanship
- These should slow down those pesky potato pickers.... but we must continue to make more
- The Idaho farmers became aggresive because the Montana farmers wouldn't try their potatoes. The Washington farmers knew they must intervene before the Idaho farmers took over Montana farmers and forced them to eat Idaho potatoes. The Washington farmers went to Montana and grew a built to protect them and gave them potatoes. The Montana farmers loved they had a choice to eat the potatoes, this led Washington farmers and Montana farmers to become close.

- I can't wait to pick my own potatoes on the other side...
- The Idahoans grew restless in their conquest to be the only potato supplier, and they found that Wyoming believed in being a dominant supplier as well. As word broke out about the Washingtonians being allied with the Montanans , Idaho and Wyoming quickly became allied to make sure they could protect their belief in being the only potato suppliers. The tensions began to rise.
- The Fall of the USSR
- After the alliances began to thicken by the days, The Washingtonians felt the tensions rise. They felt they should create new traps to place in their own fields in case of Idahoan invasions of their own potato fields. As the Idahoans caught news of this, they wanted to create their own bigger, badder potato defenses just in case.
- The small town of Post Falls, Idaho, was controlled in the west by freedom potato farmers, and to the east controlled by one man who chose potatoes. The two sides were divided by another large fence. The people of the town eventually decided it would be best to let the people go where ever they'd like and the governor of the city allowed the fence to be taken down.
- Finally this tension is over in our town
- Shortly after the fence came down, the Idahoans loosen their grip on the other states they controlled. Wyoming, Montana and the others took this look at freedom and created their own free states where people could pick their own potatoes. Not long after, even Idaho, began to let people pick their own potatoes, defeating the conflict and letting the people be happy.
- I have all sorts of potatoes in here, I can't wait to share them with my neighbors and broaden their horizons of good potatoes. I am so lucky to get to choose now.
