- Mateo gets this call at 12:22 AM
- *Lady on the phone* Hello I am calling from Death-Cast. I'm Andrea. Mateo, I regret to inform you that sometime in the next 24 four hours you;ll be meeting an untimely death. Behalf of everyone here at Death-Cast, we are so sorry to lose you.
- Mateo unfortunately lives in a world where you get a call telling you you're going to die in the next 24 hours.
- Mateo's POV
- Mateo decided not to leave yet. He was a very paranoid person and his entire life he always lived very cautiously because he was afraid of death. But today, he decided to finally step out of his comfort zone and do something he would never do...
- No, I'm not walking out into a world that will kill me before my time.
- Mateo´s POV
- Mateo returns to his bedroom and it is now 1:06
- What should I put on my profile? I don´t want to give out too much...
- Mateo goes on a website called CountDowners and reads the different Deckers stories about their last day and the app LastFriend is mentioned a lot. LastFriend is an app where Deckers can chose their ¨last friend" to spend their last day with. Mateo downloads the app.
- Rufus´s POV
- Hello, this is Death Cast. Is this Rufus?...
- Rufus gets a call from the Death Cast at 1:05 AM while he's beating up his ex girlfriend's boyfriend, Peck.
- Rufus's POV
- I'll let you go, it's not because you won. I gotta my goodbyes to the Plutos
- Malcom and Tagoe tell Rufus not to freak out from the call from Death Cast. Rufus tells Peck that he'll let him go because he wants to say bye to the Plutos. The Plutos are known as Aimee (Rufus's ex girlfriend), Malcom, Tagoe, and Rufus. They are called Plutos because they live together in a foster home which as known as Pluto.
- It's okay man, don't get too caught up from the call.
- It's going to be okay.
- Rufus's POV
- DUDE YOU HAVE TO GET OUT OF HERE! DONT WORRY WE'LL HANDLE IT!
- I can't believe this is finally it. I just feel like I haven't fully processed the fact that I'm going to die in less than 24 hours-Wait why are there police cars outside...
- Once they got to Pluto they wanted to do a funeral, but unfortunately it was interrupted by Peck calling the cops. Rufus is told to run away from the cops so he doesn't spend his last day in jail.
- PECK, WHY DID YOU CALL THE COPS?
