- Zeus can I have bride to merry?
- Fine, merry whomever you want.
- Demeter the made crops grow every year and she loves Persephone. Hades has asked Zeus if he could find a bride. While Hades was telling him if he could have a bride Zeus was distracted because he was flirting at the time and said “ Fine, merry whomever you want.”
- On a warm summer day Persephone and her nymph friends were picking flowers on the same day Hades was going to the surface to collect his offerings, Then Hades saw Persephone and fell in love so he tossed her into the chariot and went into the underworld. Demeter heard Persephone’s cry and made a search to find her, months passed the ground was frozen and there was a famine while Demeter was still looking for Persephone.
- Persephone had eaten pomegranate seeds and could only return to her mother for part of the year. Demeter after learning about Persephone still wouldn’t allow crops to grow until Rhea sent by Zeus begged her to have mercy and Demeter agreed, now she allowed to plants grow when Persephone is with her and but for the four months with Hades winter arrives.
