In order to feed my family I must hunt animals like cow and bison.
I have to gather things like berries to go along with the protein my husband brings.
Discovery of agriculture
Look! I domesticated these animals. Maybe we can use them for food, without the hunting.
I planted some seeds from the berries, and vegetables I gathered. We now have a food source right by our home!
Neolithic times
1)
These animals provide us with meat, eggs and dairy products. The wolves/dogs, provide us with companionship and protection.
Now that we live in larger groups, we can defend our self's better.
2)
Since we started growing food, we have had a surplus of it.
Because of the agricultural revolution , I have more time do to what I like: fishing!
In Paleolithic times, food was scares. The men hunted for things like cows, bison, and deer. Hunting was dangerous work, one wrong move and you could be killed. The woman had to gather things like berries, vegetables, and fruit. This was not as dangerous, but there were still dangers, like venomous snakes and large predators like bears. Some times, no one returned with food.
The Agricultural revolution didn't happen in a snap, it happened over thousands of years. In the Agricultural revolution people started domesticating animals, such as sheep and cows. They used them for food. but other resources as well. In this time people also learned to plant food. In doing this, they had to stay put, because they can pick up and move a garden. So they stayed in one spot.
1) The Agricultural revolution gave people domesticated animals. like cows, sheep, chickens, goats, and dogs/wolves. This provided them with things like meat, wool, eggs, dairy products, and (from the wolves/dogs) protection and companionship 2) Discovery of agriculture didn't just provide people with domesticated animals; but with a surplus of fresh produce! As time went on more and more and more produce for people to eat. 3) With more food the survival rate went up, and populations grew. There where now large towns. If danger arose people could work together to deal with it. 4) Because there was more food, people didn't need to spend as much time on it. This lead to specialized jobs. Some people maybe made baskets, as some caught fish. Others might of made pots,or build homes.
