- At a banquet at Carthage, Aeneas begins to tell his story of the fall of Troy
- Pitiful Sinon
- The Dardanians go outside the city gates to find a giant wooden horse and question its purpose
- (Almost) Sacrifice
- Laocoon is suspicious of the horse and spears its belly
- The False Offering
- Trojans notice snake-like Sinon and begin to pity him
- The Greeks need to remain safe on their journey home, and Calchas says they need a sacrifice, so Laocoon chooses Sinon, but he escapes
- The sinister Sinon perjures the Trojans into believing the horse is an offering to Minerva
