At a banquet at Carthage, Aeneas begins to tell his story of the fall of Troy
Pitiful Sinon
The Dardanians go outside the city gates to find a giant wooden horse and question its purpose
(Almost) Sacrifice
Laocoon is suspicious of the horse and spears its belly
The False Offering
Trojans notice snake-like Sinon and begin to pity him
The Greeks need to remain safe on their journey home, and Calchas says they need a sacrifice, so Laocoon chooses Sinon, but he escapes
The sinister Sinon perjures the Trojans into believing the horse is an offering to Minerva
