  • Do you guys wanna play?
  • The child is trying to figure out trust and mistrust. The mother gives him a toy, implementing a sense in him that he can trust his mother. (Birth until 18 months)
  • I need to learn this!
  • Industry vs. Inferiority
  • In this stage, the child gains some sort of sense of self-control. We can see the child choosing his own clothes here. (18 months to around age 2 or 3 years)
  • Identity vs. Confusion
  • I don't know what or who I want to be.
  • At this stage, the child begins to assert himself in the world. He will also feel feelings of guilt within. (Age 3 to 5)
  • Intimacy vs. Isolation
  • I wonder if she loves me.
  • In this stage, the kid begins to strive to accomplish new tasks. As we can see here the kid is actively wanting to learn more. (Age 6 to 11)
  • In this stage, the kid begins to develop a sense of self and independence. In this stage, a lot more social relationships are formed. (Age 12-18)
  • In this stage, the young adult/adult is struggling with the conflict of love or being alone in his life. (Age 19-40)
