- Hi mom. It was very good. Today I learned so many things in the bio class. Ma’am told us about Human Excretory System
- The biological process involved in the removal of harmful metabolic waste is known as excretion. Human Excretory System consists of a pair of kidney, a pair of ureter, urinary bladder and urethra.. But the most interesting topic that Ma’am taught us today was nephron.
- what do you understand by Human Excretory System
- Nephron is the structural and functional unit of kidney. It consist of Bowman's capsule, Glomerulus (Tuft of capillaries) present in the Bowman's capsule , PCT or ascending limb, Loop of Henle, DCT or descending limb and collecting duct
- What do you know about nephron
- The main function of nephron is to filter blood through the process of filtration,selective reabsorption and secretion
- So, Peehu tell me what is the function of nephron
- Ultra Filtration takes place in the glomerulus of the Bowman's capsule under high osmotic pressure .Selective Re absorption- From glomerular filtrate, some substances like water, salts, sugars, Amino acids are selectively reabsorbed. Tubular secretion - Urine is formed and secreted via collecting duct into the ureter
