- in 1958 uprisings went across Cuba led by M-26-7 ( Fidel Castro Che Guevara).They seized power in 1959.
- April 1959: Castro flew to washington to ask for a meeting with Eisenhower however Eisenhower refused and sends the vice-president in his place.
- Cuban and American relations started deteriorating and in May 1959 Castro announced no foreigners could own sugar platations there. America then cut off importation of Cuban sugars and put an economic embargo on Cuba
- Sovite Cuban relations got better and became stronger and Cuban American ones dissolved. From 1959-61 Cuban who disliked Castro fled to American hoping they would intervine in Cuba and overthrow Castro
- IN April 1961 Cuba was invaded by the Americans however Kenndey said not to use Americans and insted used the exiled CUbans however this plan became a massive fail and embarassment forAmerica.
- The Thirteen Days were 13 days in which the Cuban missile crisis was potentially solved. Consequences of these days and the whole crisis were many peace treaties throughot the world and improved relations between the USA and the Soviets.
