I even used my power to protect us from intruders as I waved my hand up and the water would rise, even as tall as buildings to block them off and reverse the current!
But anyways hehe.. Thank you so much for visiting me today. I really enjoyed sharing my story with you and I hope you too are excited to see how I can use my power to do more good in the future. Not a lot of people know my secret but I hope to be Egypt's very own silent hero.
They think I am a quiet 13 year old boy who spends too much time near the water and not enough doing my duties at home.
You know, the land of the Pharoahs, Pyramids, deserts, gold ...
But.. most importantly, the infamous Nile river!
It flows all the way from East Africa, to the Mediterranean Sea, 4100 miles! And right here in Egypt if flows from upper to lower Egypt, providing us, those who live in the settlements on the narrow strip of land, with a sustainable water source to produce fertile soil and a source of transportation!
But, what others don't know is... I have the power to manipulate the Nile.
But the next day.. I played by the river again and as I began to wave my hand around and above the water, it followed. When i waved up the water would rise up, as tall as walls, and when i would wave side to side the water would spill over the river!
Everyday when I was young, my father would bring me to the river to play while he worked as a craftsman near the Nile.
I played for hours and hours, and one day I got too thirsty and my father forgot to bring our water jar from home. The clear, free flowing water of the Nile looked too inviting. I took a handfull of water and eagerly sipped. I thought nothing of it at that time.
As I honed how to control my power, I tested it on days when my people needed resources from the Nile. When there were droughts our famines, I would simply wave my hand over the river and let it spill to each side to feed the soil and to give water to the people.
