- The Old Regime was the Social and Political system of France before the French Revolution which divided France into three Estates.

- I'm tired of those stuck-up people!!

- Citizens of France came from all over to Versailles to get rid of the old regime system and establish something new. The Third estate wanted more rights and get rid of the king's authority, meanwhile the first and second estate enjoyed the privileges they get from the king.

- The First and Second estate decided to lock the third estate out on the day of the vote on what would happen with their new system. Since the third estate was locked out their would be a plebiscite, an unfair vote from the people allowing the Second and First estate to keep their advantages.

- Tired of the pettiness, the third estate decided to form the national assembly
- The National Assembly promised to not stop wreaking havoc in France until they got a new constitution. This was called the...Tennis Court Oath!

- The National Assembly and Thomas Jefferson concocted up a new constitution, Declaration of the Right of Man, based on enlightenment ideas, and the American Bill of Rights, that would limit the king's power. Which caused France a new form of government...a Constitutional Monarchy!
